301-Financial Services - 1214-301 Financial Analyst

Under general supervision, performs special projects and financial planning related to the corporate business plans within Laguna Woods Village and performs related work as required.  Assignments involve regular contact with staff from other divisions and departments, board members, residents, vendors, and the public. 

Participates in developing and maintaining annual and long-range organization budgets for the Golden Rain Foundation and all housing mutual corporations.  Prepares and submits budget instructions to all divisions, analyzes and compiles requests, participates in staff reviews and assists in presenting budget proposals to appropriate committees and boards. Monitors and reports monthly on the financial statements and ad hoc cost management reports.  Assists with investigating transactions and reconciling accounts, initiates and recommends appropriate action as needed.

Participates in developing and implementing systems and procedures for tracking and analyzing budgeted and actual expenditures.  Evaluates assigned issues and summarizes findings and conclusions, works cooperatively with operational departments, develops specific recommendations and reviews data and conclusions with Manager.

Performs financial planning and analysis.  Assists in conducting financial studies and special analyses as assigned, including but not limited to cost management, revenue and expenditure forecasts, and account reconciliations. 

Salary Rate: $32.00 - $38.34 D.O.E.
