Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County including emergency, transitional and permanent housing. Our services extend to families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV/AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs, and others in need, including a special education preschool program.

Position: Human Resources Operations Coordinator

 

The Human Resources Operations Coordinator provides administrative support to the Assistant Vice President of HR and is responsible for HR transactional documentation and maintaining the HR Information System including data entry and data integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree plus two years of experience in a related field, or satisfactory combination of education and experience. 
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, the ability to work well with others, prioritize and take initiative. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required. Experience with HR Information Systems required.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Enter data for all employment life cycle transactions into the HR Information System.
  2. Initiate and track payroll change notices for all HR transactions in coordination with HR management and payroll.
  3. Ensure data integrity, conduct analysis and reporting related to the HR Information System. Conduct periodic system audits and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
  4. Review and submit accurate time and attendance for bi-weekly payroll.
