SUMMARY:  Responsible for the oversight of all distribution operations, including pulling, stock runs, and all related inventory transactions.

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversight for scheduling appropriate levels of staff to allow for maximum production effectiveness within the shipping and all distribution departments
  • Oversight and troubleshooting of voice-directed warehouse picking and other warehouse management system operations.
  • Assist with locating missing inventory and expediting to ensure end customer satisfaction
  • Maintain all necessary time and attendance records
  • Ensure distribution staff performance and compliance with all policies and procedures, providing feedback through employee 1:1 meetings, performance appraisals, and performance improvement plans as necessary.
  • Maintain overall workflows and work instructions in assigned inventory areas to maximize staff scheduling and performance.
  • Ensure safe operation of forklift, pallet jacks, and any other necessary equipment
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in distribution management or related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
    • or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Two (2) years related experience in distribution inventory control or similar field or equivalent level of education and experience
  • One (1) year of experience in a leadership role, coaching and managing staff
  • Proficiency using various software, applications, and programs including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of ERP, warehouse management, and/or, voice-directed warehouse picking systems.
  • Attention-to-detail as well as organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to navigate relationship building at various levels for internal/external customers, direct reports, and other departments.
  • Travel up to 5%.
