SUMMARY:  The Manager, Rotables & Exchanges, is responsible for oversight of the LRU’s inventory purchases and services, negotiating price and terms for purchased goods and services. The manager is responsible for ensuring their team has a continuous supply and maintains production levels at optimum costs. Additional functions will be planning and forecasting aviation components and accessories. The manager will work closely with the Sales and Inventory teams to assure adequate quantities and to avoid unnecessary buildup for the repair of civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees Rotables and warranty/returns.
  • Sets pricing for exchange stock.
  • Purchase inventory as recommended for additional rotable stock.
  • Monitor rotable inventory levels, increase as needed to maximize sales.
  • Negotiate vendor pricing to maximize margins.
  • Oversees the open repair order and core reports.
  • Reviews open RMA, claim, and warranty repair order reports.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 7 years of relevant/technical work experience & 3-4 years of leadership experience OR
  • And additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Effective time management, able to identify and prioritize tasks necessary to meet long and short-term objectives

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree
  • 9+ years’ experience in aviation / distribution
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Experience with ERP, Quantum
