Industrial Facility Maintenance Supervisor

Turbine Controls, Inc. is a rapidly growing FAA authorized repair station involved in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of commercial and military engine components and accessories.  Founded in 1979, TCI has rapidly grown over the past decade to become an industry leader in providing MRO services throughout the world.

Summary: Supervise maintenance team to perform site electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks where applicable. This position is “hands-on” and will require the prospective supervisor to not only supervise a team, but also be well-rounded and well-versed to physically perform various tasks themselves when needed. The position will oversee (3) separate buildings on the Turbine Controls Bloomfield site.

Essential Functions of the position:

• Provide day to day direction to technical staff regarding assignments and projects.
• Ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment through deployment of production maintenance personnel. Maintain equipment in peak operating condition.
• Identify opportunities for equipment performance improvement, develop alternate solutions to potential problems and develop and implement resolution plans.
• Work occasionally with local fire, town zoning, and DEP officials when applicable.
• Work with purchasing team in securing ground maintenance contracts or other facility contract items when needed.
• This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required. Additional technical education preferred. Journeyman certification highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years in a production facilities maintenance function.
• Strong knowledge and experience with CNC and semi-automated production equipment.
• Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
• Utilization of problem-solving tools and techniques to resolve a wide variety of technical manufacturing issues.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong collaboration skills to partner with functional teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Hazmat/DOT training requirements for the site as needed.
• Assist with EH&S site-wide machine/environment improvements as necessary
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items as needed.
• Job may be required to work hours in excess of normal operating business to resolve site level issues.
