What is the opportunity? 

Under the direction of the Logistics and Production Manager, the Supply Chain Analyst will provide strategic analytical support for the optimization of supply chain processes and data. This position will also be responsible for Partner Equipping Sales and Support. The position is Charleston-based, with primary functions at Water Mission headquarters.

 

A successful Supply Chain Analyst will:

  • Maintain a strong Christian witness and model servant leadership to colleagues, partners, the communities we serve, and the public
  • Engage and participate in prayer before and after team meetings. 
  • Lead and participate in biblically based staff devotions. 
  • Manage and maintain the Partner Equipping Services program, including working with partner NGOs,order-taking and entry, and collaborating with other members of Supply Chain Management and other key stakeholders to ensure coordinated workflows
  • Create and monitor processes to provide more efficient supply chain management between procurement, logistics, engineering and innovation, project managers, and country programs.
  • Manage and maintain inventory records, pricing, and vendor data
  • Collaborate with IT and other staff to ensure that NetSuite serves the organization efficiently and effectively to support applicable policies and procedures
  • Administer strategies meant to optimize organizational inventory levels and support organizational business objectives
  • Assist with inventory counts, receiving, and invoice processing
  • Assist with Supply Chain Management training
  • Collect data and prepare analyses forecasting demand or predicting inventory needs
  • Collaborate with leadership on identifying and implementing efficiency or performance improvements
  • Other duties as assigned, including cross-training on other Supply Chain functions to serve as a backup

What is required? 

  • Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Alignment with Water Mission's Statement of Faith and core values of Love, Excellence, and Integrity
  • At least 5 years’ experience in supply chain management or procurement
  • At least two years’ experience with NetSuite
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or business administration preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills, including advanced Excel capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback constructively
  • Positive attitude of service to others and ability to get along well with other staff, vendors, and partners
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Aptitude in abstract thinking, quantitative analysis, and the organization of physical objects
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Home internet bandwidth strong enough to support video conferencing and other job-related responsibilities. 
  • Commitment to ending the global water crisis.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. 
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds at times
  • Ability to travel internationally for 10 days at a time up to twice annually
