Job Title: Tumbling Instructor

Branch: Kennett Area YMCA

Pay Class: Part Time

Shifts/Availability: 4:30pm-7:30 pm on Mondays 

Rate: $14.00 - $15.00

Position Purpose: The Kennett Area YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic Tumbling  Instructor to organize and deliver value-driven youth programs to participants in accordance with YMCA goals and objectives.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Plan, organize and lead youth activities for all participants. 
  • Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation  
  • Organize and maintain program records including, but not limited to attendance records, rosters, etc 
  • Manage all equipment. 
  • Maintain a clean and risk-free environment. 
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and that all children are picked up by parent/guardian. 
  • Communicate positively and accurately with all the parents/guardians of participants. 
  • Promote other YMCA programs with participants and parents/guardians. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Prior knowledge and minimum 2-years’ experience in program area. 
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills. 
  • Appropriate training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area. 
  • Must have high school diploma or GED 
  • Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs 
  • Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
