Head Women's Lacrosse Coach (Full-Time)

Albright College is seeking applications for the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Women’s Lacrosse Program.  This includes the recruitment and management of a coaching staff, recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, and successful preparation, planning, and strategy for the development and sustaining of a highly competitive intercollegiate lacrosse program.  Additionally, the head coach needs to be involved in fund raising and other duties as assigned.  There will be a secondary duty.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Lead the women’s lacrosse program with on field coaching. 

2. Supervise and professionally develop assistant coaches.

3. Recruit prospective student athletes on and off campus. Evaluate player talent for recruits. 

4. Organize recruiting communications and campus visits. 

5. Set up and monitor student athlete academics. 

6. Lead retention efforts for lacrosse players. 

7. Game preparation and strategy. 

8. Attend all MAC women’s lacrosse coach meetings. 

9. Organize program fundraising. 

10. Maintain team social media pages. 

11. Promote diverse and inclusive atmosphere within the program. 

12  Active involvement in fundraising related to women’s lacrosse.

13. Active engagement of women’s lacrosse alums.

14. Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Prerequisites:

 

  1. COMMUNICATION
    1. Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability in leading and mentoring.
  2. SKILLS
    1. Demonstrated commitment to enhancing an inclusive and equitable Albright community, as described in Albright College’s Inclusivity and Equity Statement.
    2. Sensitivity to the needs of culturally diverse and marginalized groups, and ability to work with students holding a range of worldviews.
    3. Fluency in Spanish, preferred.
  3. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
    1. Minimum of five years of progressive college coaching experience
    2. Head coaching experience preferred.
  4. EDUCATION
    1. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
