Prospect Research Analyst
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is the leader for all prospect research in concert with the front-line fundraisers at Culver Academies. This role is responsible for systematic identification, determination, analysis, and maintenance of relevant information on major gift prospects. The incumbent analyzes, interprets and formats biographical, professional, and financial information needed to facilitate the solicitation of donors by the development staff. This position is responsible for building and monitoring the prospect pool for each fundraiser, refilling, and adding new prospects as needed, and working with the gift officers to maintain active and fresh lists of potential donors.
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in fundraising or an equivalent field, minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience improving advancement data as well as prospect methodology and practice. Experience with Raiser’s Edge and NXT, LinkedIn and other data-mining software is preferred. The candidate will have excellent analytical abilities and creative problem-solving capabilities in a highly interactive and collaborative environment. The candidate will have fully proficient computer skills, including advanced working knowledge of MS Office, databases, internet research, and e-mail management. Must be proficient with research tools and experience with fundraising databases are required.
