GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide clerical work and administrative support to Vice President of Community and Workforce Development and Community and Workforce Development (CWD) Leadership
  • To provide support to CWD program and career services staff as needed.
  • To collaborate with CWD and other departments on events and important calendar planning.
  • To create, collect, and submit reports, invoices, documentation and data to support the CWD division for program metrics and data reporting to Goodwill Industries International (GII)
  • To uphold the CARES+ values of GIUMSC

           

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

PEOPLE

 

1. Provide administrative support to the Community & Workforce Development team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, maintain documentation, processing invoices and coordinating communication.

2. Assist in coordinating internal and external meetings, workshops, and events, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made.

3. Collaborate with team members to maintain positive relationships with program participants, community partners, and other stakeholders.

4. Support the team in tracking program outcomes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

5. Take accurate and timely minutes during staff meetings and distribute them as appropriate.

6. Attend internal and external Goodwill meetings and report updates to the department as needed.

 

PERFORMANCE

 

1. Assist in compiling data and preparing reports to monitor program performance and outcomes.

2. Provide guidance and schedules for policy review for Community & Workforce Development.

3. Maintain organized records of program materials, training resources, and participant information.

4. Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and integrity.

5. Maintain the department's monthly calendar to reflect news, events, or special highlights for publications.

6. Support the team in implementing strategies to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.

 

PROCESS

 

1. Develop and maintain data visualization tools and dashboards to communicate kiy insights to internal and external stakeholders.

2. Help manage online platforms and databases used for program enrollment, tracking, and reporting.

3. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, including data confidentiality and security measures.

4. Provide general administrative support to the department as needed, including managing office supplies, processing invoices, participant payment, and handling inquiries.

5. Maintain confidentiality and security of organizational information and files, as well as Goodwill practices and policies.

6. To perform all other duties as may be assigned.

 

Responsible to:  Vice President of Community and Workforce Development

 

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

 

Work Experience:  Two to five years’ of work-related skills, knowledge, or experience is needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with data management.

 

Qualifications:  Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s liability insurance provider. Each associate must maintain a current and valid driver’s license with limited points and/or traffic citations and adequate automobile liability insurance. Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check.

 

Physical Requirements:  Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying (up to 25 pounds), pushing, and pulling. May involve walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time. General office environment infrequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, odors, etc.).

 

Safety & Security:  Report all accidents, however slight, to your supervisor immediately.  Never leave the premises without reporting any accident that occurred during your working time.  If you should need medical treatment during your non-work hours, you should contact your supervisor.

Work Hours:  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday, Occasional early morning, evening, and weekend hours may be required as needed. Occasional travel to other Goodwill locations throughout the sixteen county territory.

Work Attire:  Each associate is expected to present a fashionable, neat, and clean appearance that will be reflective of Goodwill’s positive image in the community.
