GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Career Pathways, ensuring efficient delivery of services to participants and community partners.
  • Supervise Career Pathways staff, promoting professional growth and teamwork.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, and community organizations to expand job opportunities and support services.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and outcomes, making data-driven decisions to improve services and meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

PEOPLE

 

  1. Develop partnerships with businesses and community partners to increase the number of skilled workers in SC.
  2. Expand access to training resources and increase program visibility.
  3. Collaborate with partners and funding agencies to develop and validate training content, methods, and materials to upskill program participants effectively.
  4. Create and maintain current Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and partner agreements to ensure compliance and fulfillment of all obligations.
  5. Ensure staff are equipped with the necessary resources to effectively carry out their roles and address any performance or personnel issues promptly.

 

PERFORMANCE

 

  1. Create and maintain standard operating procedures and strategies to support the advancement of Career Pathways.
  2. Research emerging industry trends and new technologies to update training curriculum and programming, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
  3. Implement and assess programs, learning solutions, including classroom training, e-learning, and coaching.
  4. Analyze data to assess program success and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Achieve departmental and organizational goals.

 

PROCESS

  1. Ensure all program activities comply with, policies and procedures, maintaining adherence to requirements.
  2. Collect and submit data on performance, including number served, certified, placed/retention, learning evaluation, client satisfaction, and other data as needed.
  3. Coordinate training schedules and supervise the delivery of employment certification trainings and workshops.
  4. Manage functions of data management system, CaseWorthy ensuring accuracy.
  5. Manage program budgets effectively, seeking cost-effective options for service delivery and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  6. Ensure compliance with all policies including financial management and record-keeping.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and security of organizational information and files, as well as Goodwill practices and policies.
  8. Perform all other duties as may be assigned.

 

Responsible to:  Director of Community & Workforce Development

 

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree required, with relevant work experience.

 

Work Experience:  Two to five years’ of work-related experience in Human Services and/or Workforce Development services. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with data management.

 

Qualifications:  Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s liability insurance provider. Each associate must maintain a current and valid driver’s license with limited points and/or traffic citations and adequate automobile liability insurance. Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check.

 

Physical Requirements:  Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying (up to 25 pounds), pushing, and pulling. May involve walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time. General office environment infrequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, odors, etc.).

Work Hours:  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday, Occasional early morning, evening, and weekend hours may be required as needed.
