The Program: FOCIS is a 30-day hospital diversion program. The clinician and a therapeutic aid work together to provide therapeutic intervention, in-home behavioral support and intensive case management to youth and families.

 

The Role: The clinician working in this position will enjoy a dynamic, flexible, hybrid work environment with a 37.5 hour work week. This role assists youth and families with stabilizing behavioral and mental health crises outside of hospitalization. Services take place in the office, in the community and in client homes. A large team provides support, collaboration and consultation throughout the life of each case.  LCSNW values new learning and offers many opportunities to learn new skills, techniques and protocols. Training offered.

 

Recommended Skills/Experience:

  • Therapeutic services for children and families.
  • Liaison services for clients across a wide array of systems.
  • Advocacy services for clients and their families.
  • Agency representation.
  • Modeling and encouraging direct, professional communication among staff members and facilitate development of a positive staff support network.
  • Awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served.

General Requirements: 

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
  • Two years of work with children and families
  • Successful Completion of Local, State and Federal Background Checks
  • Reliable Transportation, Valid Driver’s License, Vehicle Registration and Insurance
  • Ability to work some on call shifts
