We are seeking applicants for Helpers for off shifts in our Hexacomb division in Arlington, TX. 


Responsibilities:


Must be committed to working safely, following the company rules and helping identify opportunities for a safer workplace for everyone.

The work for this position includes feeding material into machines, stacking finished product, glue/assembly of paper products, banding pallets, and shrink-wrapping for shipment.

Must be able to work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity and decreasing downtime and waste. Disruptive behavior is not tolerated.

Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.

Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.

Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.

Other duties as assigned.

May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.


Basic Qualifications:


High School Graduate or GED.

Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.

Able to pass pre-employment background and drug test.

Must be able to stand, stoop, and bend.

Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment is preferred.

Machine operator experience a plus.

Forklift experience a plus.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.

Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.

Excellent communication skills.

Thrive in a cross-functional team environment.

Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines.

Have knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Access.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.

Pay and Benefits:

 

Pay range $19.45 with a differential for 2nd $0.25 for 3rd $0.35

1.5 pay over 8 hours, over 40 hours, and on weekends

1.5 pay on holidays, plus additional overtime over 8 hours on holidays
