Role Overview:

 

  • Over 10 years of extensive actuarial experience in the L&A actuarial space.
  • An associate/fellow from IAI/IFoA/ SOA
  • Proven expertise in international markets, including the US. Solid understanding of US-GAAP LDTI is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in data handling, actuarial modeling, experience analyses, EV reporting, statutory reporting, ALM, and model testing & validation.
  • Familiarity with GGY Axis, MG Alpha, and Prophet, with additional experience in SQL/Python/R being advantageous.
  • Advanced life insurance and actuarial knowledge, coupled with strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication abilities and fluency in English.
  • Active involvement in new business development, including assessing client requirements and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Contribution to continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • In-depth understanding of the current state of affairs and problem statements in L&A actuarial.
  • Regular client interactions to comprehend requirements, translate them into a business framework, and provide effective actuarial solutions.
  • Participation in transformation and automation initiatives.
  • Construction of actuarial models for life insurance products.
  • Lead/Review UAT testing, unit testing, regression testing, etc., for actuarial model testing and validation.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

 

Candidate Profile:

 

  • Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, or actuarial sciences.
  • Associate/Fellow member of IAI/IFoA or SOA.
  • Over 10 years of experience with a robust understanding of life insurance products, covering pricing, experience studies, modeling, reserving, and valuation.
  • Exposure to the US life insurance market is highly preferable.
  • Experience in international markets such as the US with good knowledge of US-GAAP LDTI.
  • Familiarity with polysystem, MG Alpha, GGY Axis, Prophet, or other modeling tools is a significant advantage. Experience in SQL/Python/R is desirable.
  • Strong ability to acquire technical and business knowledge rapidly.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment and ready to tackle challenges.
  • Ability to understand cross-cultural differences and collaborate with clients globally.
