Our Team is Growing! EXL Health is looking for Document Processors and Outbound Mail Coordinators for the Medical Records Management Team. This position is in our Pittsburgh, PA office located in the Robinson Area. 

 

We have Full Time, Day and Evening Shifts Open, Monday thru Friday Schedule!

 

Responsibilities for Each Role is Outlined Below: 

 

Document Processor Responsibilities:

  • Open, review and sort incoming mail by Client / Audit Program.
  • Accurately review and prepare paper Medical Records and other Healthcare related correspondence for scanning following a standardized process.
  • Review, prepare and process incoming electronic records received via e-fax, CD, SFTP, web portal .
  • Scan incoming checks and log on register to send to Finance Team.
  • Monitor email accounts and respond to inquiries from internal Teams and/or Providers within service level.
  • Promptly answer phone calls and return voicemail messages.
  • Outbound phone calls to Providers regarding issues with CDs or other documentation received.
  • Generate, Review, and prepare files of outgoing Audit letters on a daily basis.
  • Operate postage meter, inserter, scanner, printers.
  • Responsible for communication and reporting of any system or workflow issues to the appropriate Leadership or Team Members.
  • Meet quality and productivity standards as indicated by service level.
  • Comply with HIPAA and other regulations regarding confidentiality of information.

 

Outbound Mail Coordinator Responsibilities:

 

  • Generate, Review, and prepare files of outgoing Audit letters on a daily basis.
  • Maintain tracking of all outgoing letters using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Operate postage meter, inserter, scanner, printers.
  • Review and process return mail.
  • Monitor email accounts and respond to inquiries from internal Teams and/or Providers within service level.
  • Promptly answer phone calls and return voicemail messages.
  • Responsible for communication and reporting of any equipment, system or workflow issues to the appropriate Leadership or Team Members.
  • Meet quality and productivity standards as indicated by service level.
  • Comply with HIPAA and other regulations regarding confidentiality of information.

Qualifications:

 

  • Education:  High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior phone experience, especially in a healthcare setting
  • Prior experience as a document processor or working with Medical Records

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Demonstrates the ability to work in an organized, efficient and process-oriented manner
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to problem solve
  • Ability to transition from one task to another, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, emphasis with Excel and Outlook
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment either with a team or individually
  • Comfortable using various types of office equipment and software programs.
  • Prior Healthcare experience a plus

 

Additional Information:

 

  • Day Shift - 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Evening Shift - 2:00 pm  - 10:30 pm
  • Ability to stand 6 - 8 hours per day. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
