We are seeking an experienced HR Manager with a proven track record in field-based, fast-growth, multi-state environments. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing HR operations across multiple locations, with a focus on optimizing efficiency, fostering a positive company culture, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Experience with Dayforce HCM is required, and a background in workers' compensation and union relations is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. HR Operations Management:

    • Oversee all aspects of HR operations across multiple states, ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Develop and implement HR strategies to support the company's rapid growth and expansion plans.
    • Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, and other lifecycle processes to ensure a seamless experience for all employees.
    • Maintain accurate HR records and utilize Dayforce HCM to streamline HR processes and reporting.
  2. Employee Relations:

    • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
    • Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and confidential manner, fostering a positive work environment.
    • Collaborate with management to resolve employee relations issues and mitigate risks.
  3. Talent Acquisition and Management:

    • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
    • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of new hires.
    • Implement performance management processes to drive employee development and engagement.
  4. Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across all locations.
    • Manage workers' compensation programs and claims, collaborating with insurance providers and legal counsel as needed.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to HR management and proactively address potential risks.
  5. Union Relations (Preferred):

    • Manage relationships with labor unions, if applicable, and participate in collective bargaining negotiations.
    • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and represent the company's interests in labor-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in field-based, fast-growth, multi-state start-up environments.
  • Experience with Dayforce HCM or similar HRIS platforms is required.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience managing workers' compensation programs and claims is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with union relations and collective bargaining negotiations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a proactive and hands-on approach to HR management.
