Summary

The E6 Assistant Director will provide leadership and oversight to the expanded multidisciplinary E6 program as well as any Council District Outreach teams and ensure that appropriate, high quality, and integrated care and services are provided to clients. These teams are part of a new large-scale street-based engagement effort in the Metro Los Angeles Area (Service Area 4). This is a LA County approved strategy to combat homelessness. The goal of E6 is to create a countywide network of multidisciplinary, integrated street-based teams to identify, engage, and connect, or re-connect homeless individuals to interim and/or permanent housing and supportive services. The Assistant Director will provide administrative oversite for the E6 programs, including partner agencies and the Program Managers.  The Assistant Director will oversee the managerial/administrative operations and assist in scheduling duties with our medical and psychiatric subcontractors to keep the teams organized and on track with goals and expectations. In addition, the E6 Assistant Director will attend coordination meetings and work closely with outreach coordinators help organize and streamline the E6 teams within the SPA4 area.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.      In coordination with the Program Director of E6, responsible for leading all programmatic and administrative aspects of The People Concern E6 teams’ funding portfolios.

2.      Coordinate scheduling with SABAN, LACHC, and psychiatrist to ensure all teams have access to medical and psychiatric services for clients.  

3.  Provide administrative support, and technical assistance to E6.

 

4.      4. Ensure performance standards are created for all direct service staff and ensure productivity goals and outcomes.

5.      5. Oversee effective referral and coordination of service goals with all providers.

6.      Provide leadership homeless and supportive housing best practice models; generate recommendations for resources based on programming needs

7.      7. Participate in the agency wide quality assurance program and ensure the implementation of quality improvement activities across all E6 to ensure ongoing quality outcomes

8.      Develop and promote partnerships with government agencies, state, not-for-profit, and for-profit organizations to create streamlined services delivery in housing and homeless/outreach services

9.      In coordination with the Chief Program Officer, Permanent Housing, provide budgetary oversight of program administration and ensure program revenue and expenses are within adopted annual budget

10.  Attend meetings and conferences, prepare written reports, and complete related projects as requested

11.  In coordination with the Program Director and Assistant Director of Admin, complete required DHS reporting for E6

12.  Ensure all client related paperwork, data collection and data systems are complete, timely, accurate, and current in agency records and electronic databases

13.  Responsible for program auditing and reporting of provider subcontractors in coordination with the Finance department to ensure compliance with applicable funder and regulatory requirements.

14.  Provide provider subcontractors with technical assistance and ongoing support in ensuring that performance targets and client satisfaction is achieved also mitigating any potential grievances and associated risks to the agency

15.  Work with SPA 4 Outreach Coordinator to help create coordinated outreach services and decrease duplication within the SPA

16.  Participate in outreach activates when appropriate 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

1.     Masters degree in Social Work, licensed or able to get licensed within 6 months.

2.     Four years’ full-time experience working with the homeless, preferably providing street based outreach

  2. Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with minimal supervision
  3. Strong interpersonal and team building skills
  4. Self-starter with the ability to stay ahead of the curve and thrive in fast-paced work environment
