Summary:  

Cosm’s marketing team is building a global brand representing the best in its category. This team is responsible for developing marketing strategies, materials, and narratives in service of all companies and their respective audiences for B2B and B2C audiences. We are looking for a customer-focused, brand-building, and passionate Entertainment VP of Marketing for our Venues worldwide. Cosm Venues create immersive experiences for every type of fan, from live sports to art and education. This key role will lead to our marketing efforts for all of our global cosm venues (B2C). It requires someone with a strong background in building a successful Sports and entertainment Marketing team from the ground up.   

Responsibilities:   

  • Lead venue marketing team, defining the approach to marketing from campaign creation, management and expansion of the team, and brand strategy.   
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to develop marketing and brand strategies that maximize revenue opportunities and effectively position the Cosm brand.   
  • Identify potential new venue locations, opportunities, and targets using market research.   
  • Define an overarching go-to-market strategy for Cosm’s Venues.   
  • Lead Venue strategic and tactical marketing initiatives in tandem with the Director of Marketing, including identifying media opportunities and promotional planning at all Cosm Venue locations.   
  • Review and approve media plans for each venue created by the venue marketing team.   
  • Create regular reporting for the marketing team and internal stakeholders based on a metrics-driven approach to marketing initiatives.   
  • Partner with the Creative Services team to create brand profiles and standards for each Cosm Venue.   
  • Create target customer personas and profiles in line with target audiences and optimized against real results as each of our Venues open.   
  • Lead venue-related marketing initiatives with brand and content partners. Develop bespoke marketing strategies for each bucket of Cosm programming, including Cosm’s owned slate of originals.   
  • Oversee internal integration with stakeholders from our Venue Operations, Engineering, and Product teams to develop customer experiences for all Cosm Venues.   
  • Deliver regular reporting and recommendations for Cosm Venues to Cosm’s leadership team.   
  • Partner with the Director of Venue Marketing to develop marketing campaigns that include, but are not limited to, advertising, communications, and content creation.   
  • Define and refine customer journeys and remarketing standards in tandem with the product marketing team.   
  • Act as a point of contact for brand partners, collaborating creators, or artist managers for all things marketing related to their work.   

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related discipline. MBA preferred.   
  • A minimum of 15+ years’ experience in B2C event marketing, preferably with a respected entertainment, sports, league, or public assembly facility setting organization.   
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience leading high-performing Marketing teams.   
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience working with brand partners or artist management.   
  • Experience partnering with a Communications team and developing media relationships.   
  • Experience in developing and leading multi-faced marketing campaigns across earned, owned, and paid.   
  • Proven experience developing strategies for market creation & expansion, including creating all marketing materials and programs from scratch. Proven track record of collaborating with sales & product leaders to create & execute revenue-impacting campaigns. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience leveraging data & analytics to create &drive marketing strategies.   
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional departments.   
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure team setting.   
  • Ability to lead a team to anticipate, identify, and solve problems.   
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 

The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $215,000 to $295,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
