Summary:

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s Business Intelligence systems and reporting tools.

This position will also assist with data insights and strategic analysis, working collaboratively with leadership, end-users, & subject matter experts to create advanced data insights, integration, & business intelligence solutions that are accessible, scalable, and secure.

 

The ideal candidate is a highly dynamic individual who has a rigorous attention to detail with experience in data visualization, management, and analysis. This candidate is a confident go-getter, with the ability to collaborate and take action on key priorities for the overall Commercial Optimization team. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and also has experience in the media and/or technology industries. This is a full-time position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with data architects, developers, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver high standard Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, ensuring scalability, manageability, security, and optimal performance. This can include, but is not limited to, enterprise analytical reports, dashboards, data warehouse, data lake, data marts, and ETL processes that drive actionable insights, streamline processes, and contribute to overall business success.
  • Understand user expectations and create functional design documents and solutions based on the business requirements. Drive requirements through cross functional collaborations and connect dots from different requirements sources.
  • Analyze product performance, identify key metrics, and build analytical reports and dashboards to meet business needs, implement the high priority initiatives, and instill discipline and accountability into the product development process.
  • Conduct deeper behavioral analyses of Cosm users and in-app engagement, developing bespoke customer insights and presenting findings to key stakeholders, including recommendations to help optimize the overall business

 

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of demonstrated expertise in developing story-driven dashboards and analytics, showcasing a track record of successful project delivery. At least 3 years of specific Tableau dashboard development experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into meaningful visualizations & insights
  • Proficiency in translating complex business requirements into clear technical specifications, ensuring alignment between data solutions and business functions
  • Proficiency with SQL and other programming languages commonly used in data analysis
  • Advanced development skills in Tableau, with a deep understanding of advanced calculations and functions
  • Working knowledge of Tableau administrator/architecture, contributing to the holistic understanding of Tableau ecosystem
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring the reliability and integrity of the data and insights presented
  • Strong experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as AWS, Databricks, Big Query, and Snowflake
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across business functions like operations, product, and finance
  • Experience in the entertainment or media industry is a plus

  • Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. A high impact presence—capable of quickly establishing credibility, influencing constituencies and persuading professionals at all levels
  • Familiar with Sprint process and successful completion of tasks end-to-end, including: intake of business requirements, scoping project with estimated LOE, completing tasks, presenting deliverables, reviewing feedback and prioritizing future iterations

 

The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $90,000 to $120,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
