SUMMARY

Responsible for providing customer service and support to assist Producers and service team in supporting existing crop accounts and soliciting new business.  This position may include independent responsibility for the servicing and retention of assigned customers and/or policies.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Interacts professionally with existing and prospective crop insurance clients;
•    Assists in contacting client for renewal forms and reminds clients of premium balance due dates; 
•    Reviews policies, identifies deficiencies and assists clients to determine appropriate level of crop coverage; 
•    Manages renewal process including preparing renewal documents and estimates for each client/policy; 
•    Gathers information for crop forms including production statements and acreage verifications; 
•    Researches requests for information from the handbooks, policies and Underwriters;
•    Composes correspondence to insured and/or Underwriters; 
•    Answers the phone and assists clients and adjusters effectively;
•    Routes incoming mail and faxes; prepares outgoing mail;
•    Reviews and explains the policy forms to clients;
•    Keeps clients files (paper and electronic) and communication file logs current and orderly;
•    Inspects documents for eligibility, accuracy and submits to carrier timely;
•    Scans and attaches documents in the system;
•    Logs and tracks policy status;
•    Opens and tracks claims;
•    Prints and verifies a variety of policy forms;
•    Handles filing, which includes file set-up and maintenance;
•    Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
•    Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience  
Two (2) or more years related office work experience;  
Valid California P&C insurance license or ability to obtain such license
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor

Strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task
Intermediate typing skills (30-35 wpm)
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork 
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
