Asbury Automotive is seeking an experienced Service Director to join their team in the Colorado Market!  Previous Stellantis experience is required.

***RELOCATION AVAILABLE FOR THE RIGHT EXPERIENCED CANDIDATE***

 Compensation: $200-$250k annually (wage is comprised of base salary and commission to be determined as part of pay plan), massive opportunity for a growing market!

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

 

Job description Summary: Automotive Service Directors greet customers, listen to their description of the problems or service needed, determine the type of service required and prepare repair orders. If a vehicle requires additional repairs not covered in the original order, they estimate the additional cost and visit with, text, email, or call the customer for permission to do the work. They also advise customers on other available services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the service department.
  • Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
  • Develops and implements a marketing plan which promotes new and repeat business.
  • Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all service department staff.
  • Monitors and controls the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems and surveys.
  • Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Serves as liaison with factory representatives.
  • Prepares pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations.
  • Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, SDS management, etc.
  • Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities.

 

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS  

  • High school diploma or General Education degree (GED) in addition to 4-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • English language required (Bilingual a plus)
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must maintain Subaru and/or Hyundai factory required certification and testing as released and required from the manufacturer.
  • The employee typically works in an office and shop environment and uses a computer, telephone, mobile phone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. Contact with the public in various environments may risk exposure to contagious diseases or contact with domestic animals.
  • Must be able to pass pre employment screening (background and drug.)
