The Accounting Manager plays an integral role in the management of the on-site accounting team that supports dealership customers and department managers. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the financial condition of the dealership and directing the overall financial planning, budgeting and accounting practices. As with all positions within dealerships, managers are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.
- Strives to contribute to the store’s efforts to deliver an exceptional guest experience to our guests by making it a top priority to help other team members who are serving out guests (e.g., by being highly responsive to those team members’ requests for information or assistance that will help them serve our guests). Never think “that’s not in my job description”. Wowing our guests is the job of EVERY team member, even those who don’t interact directly with guests!
- When interacting with guests, seeks to deliver exceptional guest experiences by going above-and-beyond. When not interacting with guests, gives priority to helping other team members deliver exceptional guest experiences (e.g., by being highly responsive to their requests for information or assistance that will help them serve our guests).
- Demonstrates professionalism (e.g., shows proper phone etiquette and avoids profanity and sarcasm).
- Treats all co-workers, customers, and vendors professionally and with respect.

- Adheres to Company Policies and Procedures.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the dealership dress code.
- Interacts daily with dealership managers to resolve issues between the shared processing center and dealership managers.
- Routine reviews of operating reports per Asbury requirements.
- Assists dealership personnel with general human resource questions.
- Supervises compliance administrator and assists with deal flow and resolving problem deal and CIT issues.
- Hires, trains, and counsels the compliance administrator.
- Works with the title service provider to resolve documentation issues.
- Attends manager meetings regarding dealership operations, deal flow, and CIT.
- Ensures dealership managers comply with Asbury policies and procedures and report to the Market Controller any deviation from these policies.
