Responsible for ensuring that all route trucks are properly loaded and loads are secured for transport by performing the following duties. • Must be able to operate a pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner. • Responsible for ensuring all product is loaded on the correct truck(s). This includes palletized product, tote items, chemicals, and cut meat. • Must be familiar with the RF portion of Target Data Systems program. • Responsible for verifying all labels are scanned in the Target System. In the event of any deficiencies contact Assistant Shipping Supervisor or Shipping Supervisor. • Ensure that all loads are secure for transport. Verify that all pallets are properly wrapped. Each pallet must be wrapped by pallet wrap machine or by hand. • Secure load locks to secure load as needed. • Select and load any sample items as needed. • Submit all loading paperwork to order processing where invoices can be printed. • Picks and assembles orders from stock carefully verifying information and quantities. Places product on pallets, transfers to staging area and loads on trucks. Verifies product against pick labels and double check sheets to insure accuracy. • Sorts and places materials on racks or shelves according to predetermined slot assignments and rotates product to insure "First In - First Out". • Operates fork lift, pallet jack, or hand trucks to move product from one location to another. • Stacks product on trucks in such a manner that the load is stable and product is not damaged. • Assists in warehouse maintenance and cleaning.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
