The Operations Manager owns the operations process for new showroom openings, remodels, and resets. You will coordinate with stakeholders within the VCC organization, Facilities, Merchandising, and Operations.
Must be located in: Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, or Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities:
- Manages on site merchandising operations and logistics including 3PL coordination for all showroom opening supplies and merchandising deliveries
- Manages with 3PL and Inventory Logistics Coordinator, all showroom opening/resets open purchase orders with vendors
- Manages with 3PL and Inventory Logistics Coordinator: showroom re-orders for store displays, collateral, bulbs, parts, and finish samples for the showroom/company
- Supports showroom openings and resets by coordinating: supplies, trash pickup, meet with onsite vendors
- Works closely with managers to ensure accurate inventory after store openings and resets
- Coordinates communication with showrooms regarding price increases, resets, blue tag sales and tag supplies. Responsible for supporting and fulfilling tag updates as needed.
- Owns tag creations for showroom openings and resets
- Manages the opening of all new showrooms
- Onsite coordinator of IT, Merchandising and Operations teams
- Receive 3PL deliveries and supplies
- Ensure proper install storage shelves, office desk, printer stand, and lockers
- Stock supplies, place accessories
- Manage product hang tags: coordinate, print, hang
- Own initial inventory reconciliation with operations coordination
- Manage RMA/RGA - operations to enter RTV in SP
- Handoff to ROM and SRM at showroom opening date or reopening after resets or remodels
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in a purchasing, merchandising or related field
- Experience with independently managing projects and delivering results on-time and accurately
- Must exhibit proficient computer skills utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite of software with working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SalesPad
- Superior organization, attention to detail, accuracy, planning skills, time management and prioritization with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a dynamic team environment that spans several businesses which are managed in several locations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Must demonstrate maturity in judgement, commitment, dependability, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule as determined by manager. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Critical thinking; ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and production schedules in fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate and maintain safety and security standards
- Must be flexible on schedule, including availability for last minute travel may be required
