CHG - Sales - Banquet Set Up Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The banquet set up manager will assist management with day-to-day set up of banquets, conferences, meetings, and special events within the resort. 

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Banquets Set up is responsible for the setup, servicing and breakdown of all meetings and events.
• Possess a deep understanding of banquet set up
• Lead, supervise and participate in set-up to include; moving/setting tables and chairs, buffet set-up, bar set-up, etc.
• Excellent communication with Culinary, Catering, and Sales
•  Administrative matters, including; scheduling, performance, discipline, training and development of the banquet set up team
• Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
• Facilitate and lead departmental meetings such as pre-event and post event briefings
• Maintain event timing to ensure service occurs properly and in a timely manner
• Ensure all assigned side-work and pre-work needed for future events is completed before leaving
• Exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple events simultaneously
• Assist with the ordering of supplies, products, and necessary tools to always ensure proper par levels and appropriate working tools
• Set up banquet room per BEO  to include tables, chairs , linen, etc.
• Must have weekend availability and be extremely flexible work 1st or 2nd shift hours and 9+ shifts**
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Basic computer skills
• Previous banquet set up experience required
• Must be flexible regarding scheduling based on business demands and be available days, nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Successful completion of criminal background

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to bend, stretch, and twist
• Able to stand for long periods of time
