Duda Farm Fresh Foods is currently looking for a qualified Assistant Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team. The Assistant Accounting Manager will provide support to the Accounting and Operation's team by identifying, tracking and analyzing costs for both routine and special projects/reports as identified by the business needs. This position supports Accounting Manager in the preparation of period financial reports including account analysis, cost and profitability analysis, assists with monthly forecast, month/year end close, annual planning process and provides administrative assistance as assigned. This position will report to the Accounting Manager and is located in Oviedo, Florida.

Essential Job Responsibilities;

• Completes month end and year-end tasks such as Review, reconciliation, and analysis of balance sheet accounts and the preparation of correcting entries as needed. Preparation and review of period close journal entries in addition of review and approval of A/P entries throughout the year.
• Provides accounting support including generation of cost analysis, journal entries, reporting to outside agencies and other responsibilities as required. Analyze product cost and profitability as part of month end preparation. 
• Conducts cost analysis utilizing Microsoft applications including pivot tables and advanced Excel functions to develop reports for Duda's internal customers to support critical business decision making.
• Responsible for grower deal set-up, review, and reconciliation throughout the month in addition to the set up and maintenance of the project module in DAX.
• Supports the Accounting Managers with analysis of variances in CCM utilizing audit reports and DAX pivot tables. Facilitate error resolution, system corrections and follow-up on potential process improvements.
• Develop management reports for actual versus plan reporting utilizing available tools such as Power BI and/or other available pivot tables partnering with Controller and Operations management, to include the KPl's critical to managing the business. Updates and improves existing reports to provide maximum usefulness and accuracy of data.
• Works with accounting manager in forecasting and budgeting and analyzing actual versus budget on monthly basis.
• Performs year-end location audits under the guidance of the Accounting Manager. Works with auditors to address issues as they arise.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required and
• Minimum 5 years experience in accounting/finance
• Agricultural experience a plus
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamic DAX (or comparable ERP system)
• Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong follow-through skills
• Well-developed time management and multi-tasking skills
• Solid judgement and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of project management tools and concepts
• Strong analytical aptitude, results oriented mindset with great attention to detail
• Mastery of Microsoft Excel, comfort with the full Microsoft Office product suite.
• This position requires 5%-10% travel to our Belle Glade, Florida location.
