Marketing Specialist

SUMMARY

The core duties for this position involve supporting Haydon Companies qualifications-based project pursuits including proposal writing and development, interview presentation creation, award submittal preparation, generating and updating marketing and sales collateral, and maintaining project databases including CRM. Additional duties include developing engaging written, video, and photo content for social media, coordinating trade show activities and special events, and enforcing brand standards.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordination and preparation of proposals and other qualifications-based materials.
  • Work with technical staff to develop proposal sections and presentation content.
  • Maintain marketing information systems (resumes, project profiles, vendor registrations, etc.).
  • Offer content in support of online presence - social media and website maintenance.
  • Maintain marketing material inventory.
  • Provide administration support for marketing.
  • Attend marketing seminars, networking events, trade shows and other forums.

QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar; 1-3 years in a Marketing role; or equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Excellent skills computer skills including Adobe and Microsoft Office Suites. Well organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines, be creative, personable, and enthusiastic. Excellent writing and proofreading skills.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and to use hands to type, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand or walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds when maintaining records.
