Batch Plant Operator

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the set up and tear down, operation, maintenance and record keeping of our concrete batch plant. Assist with the coordination of daily plant activities such as: Managing controls to heat, weigh and mix aggregate, cement, and water to produce concrete that conforms to processing specifications. Responsible for repairing machinery, using hand tools and power tools.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates new concrete mix batches through use of computerized plant control system.
• Operates and maintains batch plant control system.
• Operates machine loader in order to fill aggregate bins.
• Monitors and maintains all raw material inventories including documentation of any discrepancies and reorders of materials as needed.
• Weighs sand to determine percentage of moisture content and usability.
• Tests consistency of concrete batches by performing a concrete “slump test” to assess the ease of flow ability.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Must have prior concrete experience
• CDL License is a plus
