Position Summary:

The Director of Content Strategy and Production will lead the content vision, strategy and execution within IMG Academy’s online suite of products.

This role involves partnering with our software product development functions to build content experiences that engage and educate our student athletes and their parents. The Director of Content Strategy and Production will be responsible for making the world-renowned IMG Academy brand come to life through content, leading decisions on content format, topics, talent and production process. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Brand Vision and Leadership: You embody the IMG Academy culture and brand while building and articulating a clear and compelling content vision for IMG Academy+ programming. You have a deep understanding of the culture on the IMG Academy campus and give our online customers the experience of the in-person experience through digital content. (Requires frequent travel to Campus.)
  • Product-sense: You are not just a film / TV / YouTube producer! You have a proven ability to work within a software product context. You are familiar with customer acquisition, engagement and unit economics of a digital product that delivers outcomes, not just entertainment. You have worked within constraints of a resource-limited digital product. 
  • Content Development: You oversee the development of a diverse portfolio of programming that not only educates but entertains. You identify trending topics and develop content that meets audience needs.  You innovate and experiment with various formats to enhance viewer engagement. You lead and manage the production process from concept to completion.  Ensure programming is delivered on schedule and within budget.  Maintain high-quality standards across all content.
  • Talent and Team Management: You manage and motivate top talent including influencers and subject matter experts to deliver amazing work for various programming needs.  You build, manage, and maintain relationships with vendors as well as contract production and editing teams. You collaborate effectively, where everyone feels heard and rallies around your vision.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Media Production, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in programming and production, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of turning ideas into reality, leading production and editing teams to operate efficiently
  • Strong understanding of current trends in media and content consumption
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and vendors simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Experience with budget management and financial planning
  • Master collaborator and strong communicator
  • Flexibility to travel regularly to IMG Academy campus in Bradenton, FL
