Catering - Catering Coordinator
Position Summary
The Catering/Sales Coordinator ensures standards are always upheld in the Catering Department. Handles all phone inquiries, online orders, and third-party orders in an effective and efficient manner and validates as appropriate the client/customer is completely satisfied by confirming Luna Grill standards are being met.
Essential Responsibilities
- Catering/Sales Coordinators are responsible for following all Luna Grill standards.
- Helps ensure we are hitting weekly and monthly sales goals.
- Answers incoming phone inquiries/orders from clients via the call center phone and provides exceptional customer service throughout the entire process.
- Inputs catering orders accurately into the computer system.
- Manages online and third-party orders received via e-mail or online
- Maintains guest satisfaction by investigating and resolving complaints about food quality and/or service in a timely and effective fashion.
- Assists in managing deliveries with our third-party delivery partners
- Works with third-party partners to resolve any opportunities that may arise
- Assists in following up with clients to ensure their experience was in accordance with Luna Grill standards.
- Handles office support duties, such as filing, phones and emails as needed.
- Helps ensure we are hitting weekly and period sales goals.
- Assists with various catering sales and marketing activities as needed.
- Assists Catering Manager and Director of Catering as needed.
- Team Members and Managers must adhere to policy.
- Managers must hold team accountable in regard to Meal and Rest Break Policy.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills. Extensive knowledge of Luna Grill products is strongly preferred but willing to train the right candidate (candidate would be required to work/train at one of the restaurants). Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English. Bi-lingual skills a plus. Must possess basic math skills. Ability to resolve product and/or service opportunities in a calm, patient and effective manner. Sales experience a plus but not required. Position requires the ability to use Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word and Excel).
Education/Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. One Year or more experience in restaurant or call center environment strongly preferred.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit for extended periods at a time at a desk or in meetings with prolonged and repetitive use of a phone and computer. Position requires ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Must have a flexible schedule including evening, weekends, and holidays.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Works primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled, clean, and well-lighted environment. Must be able to work in an environment with moderate noise level and ability to effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
