GROUNDSKEEPER | JOB DESCRIPTION 

 

SUMMARY 

At Magnolia, the Grounds Crew is responsible for playing a key part of the overall guest experience by assisting with maintenance and cleanliness of the Silos grounds. This position works from the Silos grounds in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Grounds Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Uphold Magnolia’s manifesto and values 
  • Perform daily grounds tasks, including trash pickup, turf maintenance, power washing, leaf blowing and vacuuming, wiping down tables, weed eating, etc. 
  • Support the facilities team while ensuring operation efficiency 
  • Assess guest needs and provide aid with information about Magnolia grounds 
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment 
  • Assist with the maintenance of organization and cleanliness 
  • Engage and connect with guests and other team members 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

 
QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred  
  • Experience: 1-2+ years grounds, custodial, maintenance, or landscaping experience preferred 
  • Special training or licenses/certifications: Texas driver's license preferred 
  • General availability: Must be available to work Saturdays 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
