Summary: Enru Logistics and Postal Optimization is looking for a Vice President & Senior Counsel to join the Enru Legal, Contracts & Compliance team. This position is based in the United States with the ability to work remotely, but Atlanta, Georgia and Chicago, Illinois are the preferred locations.
Summary:
In this role, you will be working closely with the General Counsel of Enru to deliver exceptional support to Enru’s customers and its internal clients in the Sales, Transportation Operations, Software Technology and Supply Chain teams. This will require you to meet complex challenges with creative approaches as part of a diverse team. You will be empowered to establish strategies and make decisions to address the changing and dynamic Enru business. Ultimately, you will establish yourself as an indispensable go-to partner to Enru and its customers, owning front-line legal issues and driving them to resolution, while at the same time contributing to the elevation of Enru’s culture. You will have the autonomy to make decisions, create solutions and solve problems to influence the right outcomes for our customers and our business.

Position – Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Enru’s sales, transportation operations, technology and supply chain teams to support core and strategic transactions and projects. This will include collaboration on issues in day-to-day business operations, risk identification, commercial strategy, contract development, execution and compliance in a $300M revenue business;
- Serve as the primary Legal & Contracts point of contact and support for all contract and bid-related issues, including contract structuring, risk identification, drafting, and negotiations across a wide spectrum of contract types and complexity;
- Participate in key deal review and approval decisions;
- Influence, educate and train stakeholders and leadership on contracting requirements, structuring, strategy, risk factors, compliance and best practices;
- Develop contracting guidance including guidelines on risk identification, contract fallbacks, deviation approvals, and contracting compliance;
- Work collaboratively with Sales and Supply Chain to identify and track key contracting metrics such as turn-around-time, risk factors, and other metrics; and
- Work on strategic projects in support of Legal & Contracts Priorities and perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
- Some travel will be required – ~20%.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified lawyer – licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least 1 state in the United States. Minimum of 5 years of experience;
- Deep “hands on” contract experience in structuring, drafting and negotiating all manner of sales and supply agreements;
- Enthusiastic with an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, across all levels and functions within a company;
- Strong advocacy skills, including the ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally, the ability to think clearly and quickly under pressure;
- Resourceful, able to troubleshoot and resolve challenges independently;
- Strong commitment to integrity, diversity, and inclusion; and
- A curious mind, hardworking & passionate about excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Logistics industry, drafting and negotiating logistics agreements;
- In-house experience drafting/negotiating contracts, SOWs, NDAs, SaaS agreements; and
- Experience using a contract management system, such as Ironclad or a similar system.
