Summary: Enru Logistics and Postal Optimization is looking for a Warehouse Forklift Operator Lead.  This role is located on-site in Bolingbrook, IL, USA.  In this role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations and report directly to the Warehouse Manager. Your responsibilities will include directing the activities of warehouse team members, ensuring process efficiency, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct warehouse staff; assign tasks and responsibilities to achieve optimal workflow.
• Implement and enforce safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to create a safe working environment.
• Coordinate with other department leads to ensure timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Manage inventory by organizing stock, conducting cycle counts, and utilizing warehouse management systems for tracking.
• Conduct training sessions for new hires and provide ongoing coaching for team members.
• Resolve any issues related to shipping or receiving that may arise promptly and efficiently.
• Optimize storage space utilization and material handling practices to improve productivity.
• Maintain all equipment regularly, and especially ensure that the forklifts receive proper upkeep.
• Ensure teams conduct pre-shift forklift inspections to ensure the forklift adheres to all safety and mechanical standards. Notify management of any equipment issues and follow proper Out of Service Procedures.

• Safely operating and maintaining forklift equipment to ensure the efficient handling of merchandise.
• Lead and direct the activities of warehouse staff in the storage, handling, and shipping of goods.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and optimal space utilization.
• Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of forklift machinery to prevent potential hazards.
• Implement safety protocols to minimize risks and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Ensure all forklift operators are following proper operational procedures and safety standards.

Position Specific Details:

• The schedule may be adjusted as needed to ensure coverage in the absence of a Warehouse Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• A background in warehouse management or leadership experience in logistics is required.
• Solid understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams with strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English or Spanish.

Physical Requirements:

• Job requires ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Frequently required to stand for up to 8 hours, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry and walk throughout the warehouse.
• Must be able to continuously work in varying temperatures, hot and cold.
