Saw Room Technician/Storekeeper controls the raw bar stock inventory and traceability on the History Device Record. Cuts raw bar stock to fulfill work-order and/or purchase order requirements, and other instructions.

•    Receive and assign an identification number (receiver number) and logs all bar stock into the computer system.
•    Identification and categorizes raw material by type for the proper location.
•    Retention and verify all material certification for bar inventory.
•    Set-up and operate all jobs on the vertical band saw to process drawing requirements.
•    Complete all applicable documentation for the current operation (i.e. Shop traveler sign off and first pc, inspection record sheet, and/or AQL and NCMR)
•    Performs storekeeper duties in stockroom for receiving, issuing, kitting inventory for work orders, purchase orders and sales orders, moves same to locations/work centers/shipping as required.
•    Performs inventory transactions in computer system (receipts, issues, location transfers).
•    Operate the forklift for moving heavy loads.
•    Complies with work rules including those pertaining to safety, health, quality system, and Viant Quality Management System.
•    Participates on various teams to achieve performance metrics.
•    Maintains machine maintenances and log.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Environment working conditions

•    Working with cutting & machining fluids, solvents, lubricants and other hazardous chemicals using appropriate safety controls
•    Able to lift over 50 pounds
•    Moderate to significant amounts of bending, lifting, twisting and sitting.
•    Moderate to significant periods of standing and walking.
•    Must be willing and able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to steel toed shoes.

Qualifications

•    Must be 18 years of age
•    Basic shop math skills.
•    Licensed forklift operation/safety course.
•    Ability to use all typical inspection equipment.
•    Through knowledge of a vertical band saw.
•    Good computer skills needed.
•    Thorough understanding of material specification.
•    Maintain organization to ISO operation procedures.
•    Complete all job specific required training.
•    Perform duties to achieve overall business unit metrics.
•    Comply with all safety regulations, wears appropriate safety equipment as required in each area of the facility.
