What does a Production Maintenance Technician do at Swire Coca-Cola?
In the production plant the Maintenance Technician performs a variety of general facility maintenance.  The production environment is operational 24/7 so the technician is responsible to maintain, repair, disassemble and troubleshoot complex equipment in charge of production processes. There is high speed automated production machinery, and other manufacturing equipment.    

Job Details:
Schedule: 6pm - 6:30am (4 days on, 4 days off, OT as needed)

Responsibilities:  
 

  • Provide Support to production lines by troubleshooting failures and other issues and making necessary repairs to production and facility equipment to maximize efficiencies
  • Complete all assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks through SAP
  • Participate in rebuilds and overhauls on production line and support equipment
  • Assist with parts management by ensuring parts are checked out of stock and communicating any deficiencies to the Parts Planner
  • Provide consistent communication with fellow maintenance staff through End of Shift reports
  • Support the Swire Manufacturing Continuous Improvement (SMCI) process by participating in established routines with production operators and following up on top causes of downtime
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Follow established safety, quality and environmental policies, practices, and programs
  • Operate with technical skill the SAP Computerized Maintenance Management system.  This is for inventory and production line operational excellence 
  • Clean tools, parts and equipment after line rebuilds/repairs/maintenance 
  • Install new equipment as necessary and provide technical expertise to train and support production with a continued desire for lean supply chain process initiatives and improvement 
  • Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed 
  • Quality reviews of equipment assigned to maintain safety and performance standards 

Requirements:    

  • High School diploma or equivalent degree/certificate 
  • Trade School certified preferred 
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Welding and Fabrication experience
  • Experience working with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems.
  • Ability to learn new software and interfaces quickly.  Strong computer skills
  • Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), Plumbing, Welding, Fabrication, docks and doors, security systems 
  • Production Facility repairs as assigned
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, production operators, and industrial technology preferred  
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
