What does a Financial Reporting Associate do at Swire Coca-Cola?
The Financial Reporting Associate role provides financial information to various internal and external stakeholders by compiling and analyzing account information; analyzing accounting options; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other special and ad-hoc reports; reconciling discrepancies; auditing documents; preparing and recommending policies and procedures; supporting other Finance and Accounting leaders and team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Summarize current financial results for stakeholders by collecting information, preparing financial reporting, performing ad-hoc analysis, and developing other special reports
  • Contribute to the production of consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures
  • Maintain documentation related to financial reporting processes and procedures.
  • Perform month-end closing processes
  • Prepare journal entries by compiling support and analyzing account information.
  • Analyze current and past trends in financial performance including key performance indicators. Highlight, research, and explain unexpected variances
  • Support CAPEX planning, audits, and fixed asset accounting; create and manage WBS elements
  • Prepares certain corporate level payments by verifying documentation, determining account coding, and requesting disbursements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for reporting purposes
  • Identify and implement process improvements including financial reporting tool enhancement and automation opportunities
  • Demonstrate ownership of ad-hoc requests and analysis to drive improved decision making and financial performance


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance, or related discipline required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • 2+ years financial reporting experience required
  • 4+ years Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with orientation on results
  • Experience with extract and analyze large data files and manipulate them into reports for analysis
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and data visualization tools. SAP experience (preferred)
