The Budd Group is searching for a Procurement Manager to join our growing and thriving company! This person will be responsible for vendor management, supplier relationship management, and the strategic sourcing and procurement of products and equipment at competitive prices. The right candidate will have a history of innovation in finding great solutions, with a strong focus on cost reduction, quality assurance, and risk management.

Location: This person can work from one of our local offices in Winston-Salem, NC; Greensboro, NC; Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee vendor management, including vendor vetting, supplier evaluation, and supplier performance to ensure high standards and compliance.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that benefit the company.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and increased efficiency.
  • Handle the creation and management of purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of goods and services.
  • Maintain effective inventory management practices to support operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Lead bid management processes, including RFP/RFQ (Request for Proposal/Quotation) development and evaluation.
  • Utilize procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) for efficient data management and reporting.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis initiatives.
  • Oversee logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Demonstrate strong team leadership and communication skills to effectively manage procurement activities and supplier relationships.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field. MBA or certifications like CSCP or CPSM are highly desirable.
  • Experience: 5+ years in supplier relationships, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or supply chain management, preferably in facility services. Proven ability to analyze purchasing data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement procurement strategies.
  • Skills: Building Pricing Models. Strong business acumen, negotiation, and communication skills for effective contract negotiations and supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, contract management principles, and industry trends. Familiarity with purchasing policies, procedures, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing business needs.
  • Mindset: Results-driven with a focus on cost savings, operational efficiencies, and strategic objectives. Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth in procurement.
