As a key player in our culinary events, you'll elevate our members' and guests' experiences by delivering exceptional service with a smile.


The Role:

As a Catering Banquet Server, you'll be the face of our culinary events, ensuring seamless service and unforgettable experiences for our members and guests. Here's a glimpse of what you'll be up to:


Main Responsibilities:

  • Exceptional Service: Deliver top-notch service during catering functions. Your friendly and professional approach will leave a lasting impression.
  • Set-Up and Take Down: Be the behind-the-scenes star by setting up food and beverage stations, guest tables, and event areas before guest arrival. After the event, ensure a swift and organized take-down.
  • Guest Interaction: Interact with members, guests, and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner. Learn their names to personalize interactions and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Order Execution: Take food orders and relay them to the kitchen, ensuring they are filled promptly and accurately. Monitor food distribution and address special dietary needs.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Banquet Captain or Catering Manager to ensure smooth event execution. Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and suggest improvements based on your experience.
  • Safety First: Maintain a safe and clean environment around the catering areas, ensuring equipment and supplies are in their proper locations after each event.
  • Flexibility: Work with the team on a variety of events, sometimes managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the club's offerings to answer guest questions. Attend training classes to enhance your skills and knowledge.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Working knowledge of food and beverage service operations.
  • Prior experience in private dining or banquets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Valid Oregon Food Handlers Card and OLCC Service Permit.


Working Conditions:

  • Physical labor involved; ability to lift and move objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Required to work on specific holidays and events.
