SUMMARY: The Quality Specialist II is responsible for supporting quality assurance policies, programs, and initiatives. Measures process and product testing to ensure materials, parts, and products comply with established quality standards and government regulations. Ensures compliance to quality standards. Evaluates the performance of suppliers and quality of resulting products to improve existing key performance indicators.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide direction for 6-S teams and implementation
  • Conducted quality and safety audits in accordance with regional, national and international standards to ensure compliance was met
  • Amending deviations and Implement change through corrective action/root cause analysis
  • Provided training on fire safety, HAZMAT, and OSHA requirements
  • Performed internal audits to ensure compliance and drive correction with management support
  • Complete customer required audit documents
  • Identify training needs and facilitate the completion of that training
  • Provide initial and quality orientation for all new hire employees
  • Support HR functions by completing new hire paperwork
  • Facilitate NDT material checks ensuring they are done as required by NAS 410
  • Digitize training documents for quick access and long term storage
  • Coordinate FAA, EASA, CAAC, C.A.S.E. ISO9001/AS9110 and customer audits
  • Direct the training requirements and documentation for training needs of all certified and non-certified employees
  • Ensure that suppliers are evaluated and chosen based upon risk based analysis
  • I-9 generation and retention, with verification though E-Verify
  • Provide reliability, On Time Delivery and Warranty reports for various customers and manufactures
  • Setup, Monitor and Audit outsourced vendors
  • Generate accident reporting for all incidents occurring on the job
  • Monitor and Measure Safety results, providing graphs to internal staff as required
  • Maintain a roster and job summary for all inspection and supervisory roles
  • Monitor and implement Airworthiness Directives from the FAA
  • Support engineering in developing processes for first run articles
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have at 2 years of experience in Aviation MRO Quality Assurance or 4 years of experience in other Aviation Activities.
  • Experience with requirements of FAA, EASA, CAAC, C.A.S.E., AS9110/ISO9001, applicable FARs and DFARs
  • Proficiency using various software applications, and programs, especially with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and be able to execute pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions (Index/Match also acceptable)

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred bachelor degree in quality principles, business administration or similar
  • Must have at 2 years of experience in Aviation MRO Quality Assurance or 4 years of experience in other Aviation Activities.
  • Expresses attention-to-detail, as well as organization, time management, and problem solving skills.
  • The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing
