The Supply Chain Manager oversees all the planning, organizing, and execution of the flow of purchased and fabricated product through the facility.

Through the review of data the Supply Chain Manager will negotiate the best prices that will fulfill production needs, and oversee receiving, labeling, storing, distributing, packaging, and shipping product with accurate documentation. They work to promote superb performance and lower the overall costs used for the finished product.

  • Oversee the Supply Chain Process & Team which consists of procurement, planning, receiving, shipping, material handling, packaging, and inventory.
  • Lead the Supply Chain Team with effective schedules, reviews, performance feedback, primary task training, cross training, and  continuous improvement implementation, that drives the success of the company.
  • Validate the review, confirmation, and fulfillment of all orders in the warehouse management system with accurate paperwork & system entries.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors while promoting GMP initiatives and values.
  • Organize and oversee inventory by keeping a detailed database of available inventory, expected usage, regular cycle counts, and managing inventory turns.
  • Drive a proactive safety culture that displays safety as part of our DNA including but not limited to maintaining an orderly and clean environment.
  • Work as one team with other departments through the facility to (a) promote continuous improvement, (b) implement strategic plans, & (c) reallocate personnel resources to meet company goals and deadlines. This includes but is not limited to the Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, & Product Development Teams.
  • Oversee the maintenance & inspection of all department machinery including but not limited to the Scale, Pickers, Forklifts, Overhead Crane, and company delivery vehicles.
  • Assist in all aspects of continual improvement for the company.
  • Perform the duties of subordinates as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and seven (7) years of relevant work experience required. Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.

Must have knowledge & use of Lean, Agile, Scrum, or Six Sigma continuous improvement tools. 

Must have professional communication and negotiation skills

Must be able to conceptualize the big-picture, anticipate challenges and have have Top-level understanding of all aspects of the supply chain processes.

Must be able to locate and qualify the best vendors to support production initiatives.

Must be able to work as one team with a variety of people and departments.

Physical Demand Requirements

Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers to touch, pick or pinch objects; reach with hands and arms; push or pull; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use foot or leg controls; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. For all jobs no one should lift over 50lbs on their own. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
