The Associate Manager Purchasing is responsible for the tactical management of all assigned global suppliers, commodities, or services, as well as overseeing the Purchasing functions of assigned departments.  This position works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to optimize the purchasing process, coordinates supply chain activities to assure that cost and value‐added requirements are met, and maintain the highest ethical business standards. This position will perform a root cause analysis of supply issues and identify solutions, and track critical metrics to ensure departmental and corporate goals are attained.

1. Lead and develop a team of 2-4 Procurement Specialists, with a focus on employee growth
2. Work directly with suppliers as the face of the Company to purchase materials and ensure that suppliers are accountable relative to on time delivery, quantity, quality and price.
3. Oversee all tactical activities related to corporate spend, from purchase order execution through delivery of commodity or service for the assigned departments.
4. Issue and maintain purchase orders for all assigned products through product delivery
5. Collaborates with logistics, category management, product management, engineering, quality, and manufacturing to maximize seamless interdepartmental work‐flow for the assigned departments. 
6. Evaluate and improve current purchasing processes to drive productivity and service level improvements to all stakeholders
7. Perform root cause analysis of supply issues and identify solutions.
8. Routinely communicate inventory status on critical issues and products to leadership
9. Maintain accurate PO ﴾purchase order) information in the system. 
10. Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics or other related field and 3 years of procurement related experience are required. Asia purchasing experience required (purchased finished goods preferred). Project management experience is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Demonstrated ability to analyze data. Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of the company and suppliers.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
