JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing the M&A due diligence function for Alliant Specialty by building, growing, and managing the M&A due diligence team, establishing and refining diligence processes and procedures, developing and iterating on diligence scope of work and client deliverables, and spearheading the diligence process for key clients.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage staff to ensure a high level of execution through delegating, monitoring assignments and projects, mentoring, motivating, planning, appraising work performance, and initiating corrective actions if necessary.
  • Develop, refine, and manage the due diligence process/procedures and associated client deliverables.
  • Works closely with M&A producers throughout the sales process.
  • Manage the post-close broking/service team transition process.
  • Lead the day to day project management.
  • Facilitate the due diligence data collection and organization process.
  • Review documents and agreements to identify areas that require additional investigation and follow-up, as needed to further assess status.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate critical deal issues to internal and client deal teams.
  • Defines deal milestones and develop a tracking data request lists.
  • Works closely with various internal constituents to move M&A opportunities through the process (e.g. P&C, EB, Cyber, Transactional Liability, etc.).
  • Deliver diligence work products to clients.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline, Master’s Degree (MBA) Preferred
  • Seven (7) or more years of Business Development/Mergers & Acquisitions experience
  • Insurance industry and sales experience
