SUMMARY 

Responsible for handling a larger book of business and providing customer service and overall service of assigned customers and/or policies on larger market accounts.  Progressively More experienced Broker and negotiating capabilities. Supports and may at times lead a service team with limited oversight on assigned accounts.  This position has progressively more responsibility to drive the relationship at the customer level as well as superior Technical knowledge and fluency in all lines of coverage       

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

•     Operates independently on assigned clients and more complex accounts. 

•     Provides mentoring and training to less experienced staff to support immediate supervisor and service team. 

•     Supports day to say service activity for those team members. 

•     Initiates renewal process for existing clients, and discusses and creates renewal strategy with Regional Director or Producer. 

•     Analyzes and compares current exposures and develops renewal or new business specifications for marketing; and presents renewal strategy plan. 

•     Conducts marketing, negotiates rates, reviews quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy. 

•     Conducts all steps of the renewal process including oversight of support team. 

•     Reviews policy and determines appropriate coverage; identifies possible deficiencies. 

•     Reviews and summarizes marketing results and prepares proposals; Finalizes proposals and presentations in coordination with a Service team, Regional Director or Producer. 

•     Binds insurance coverage and prepares binders and/or delegate certificates issuance. 

•     Responsible for the coordination of other cross functional services such as claims and loss control. 

•     Monitors Clients accounting history and responsible to keep it account current; 

•     Drives the claims process for assigned accounts; work in tandem with assigned claims advocates to deliver Client service. 

•     Notifies producer or service team of pertinent information related to client retention. 

•     Meets with clients as needed or directed by Producer. 

•     Works within all standard operating procedures and compliance guidelines independently as well as internal and external systems. 

•     Attends industry events including carrier events, establishes relationships with key underwriting contacts. 

•     Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information). 

•     Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates. 

•     Performs other duties as assigned 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Ten (10) or more years, related work experience 

Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by Supervisor 

Valid Insurance License 

Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal

Superior verbal and written communication skills 

Advanced planning, organizational and prioritization skills 

Ability to supervise and lead less experience staff 

Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork 

Excellent technical skillset and knowledge of insurance marketplace and highly fluent in all lines of insurance for assigned book 

Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills 

Good leadership, problem solving and time management skills 

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
