Order Filler and Meat Packager

Job Title: Order Filler – General Warehouse
Location: Detroit, MI (Eastern Market)

Type of Hire: Contract-To-Hire 90 Days

Hours: Monday – Friday 5:20 – 2:00pm (Optional Saturdays, Daily start and end times may vary)

Rate: $17/Hour to start, opportunity to earn raises and bonuses based on performance

Job Description:
Saad Meats is seeking a reliable and hardworking Order Filler and Meat Packager to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for picking and packaging meat products, ensuring all orders are accurately filled, and maintaining quality standards throughout the process. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a cold storage environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently pick, pack, and label meat products for distribution
• Organize and prepare shipments based on customer orders
• Operate basic warehouse equipment (pallet jack experience is a plus)
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and packaging areas.
• Safely handle meat products and ensure they are packed securely to preserve quality during transit.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in order fulfillment, or warehouse operations preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packaging.
• Ability to lift up to 50-85 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a cold environment (23-32 degrees Fahrenheit).
