This is a full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement based on the day’s business needs. To be considered, candidates must be a resident of Wisconsin and be available for on-site projects and meetings.

 

The HR Business Partner is responsible for independently providing a broad range of human resource services in the areas of talent acquisition and management, compensation; employee benefits; employee relations; and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) management to assigned clinics and departments within GHC-SCW. This position will serve as a HR coach and consultant with an emphasis on organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. The incumbent serves as a strategic partner to leaders through proactive consultative support and direction, providing leaders with the resources and tools to achieve positive departmental results. Additionally, the HR Business Partner will be assigned responsibilities related to but not limited to policy and procedure development, special projects, and organizational initiatives. The HR Business Partner performs under the general direction, guidance, and supervision of the HR Manager with additional accountabilities to the Chief Human Resources Officer. 

 

Job Specific Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Human Resources Management, Social Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 
  2. Two (2) to three (3) years of experience as a Human Resource Generalist or Consultant in a role focused on organizational design, employee relations, compensation, change management, talent management and recruitment and retention activities.
  3. SHRM-CP certification or HRCI - PHR certification is preferred. 
  4. Knowledge of human resources related laws and regulations including FLSA, FMLA and ADA requirements, employee selection, employee discipline and termination.
  5. Knowledge of computer-based software programs such as MS Office Suite including word processing, spreadsheet, calendar and email. Knowledge of and ability to use MS Excel is required. 
  6. Knowledge of or ability to learn and effectively use Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) technology and programs used in employee management, talent acquisition and compensation administration. Ceridian experience is preferred but not required.
  7. Demonstrated experience in HR practices including change management.
  8. Ability to quickly build relationships, excellent skills in consulting, coaching, mentoring, and influencing leaders and peer groups.
  9. Ability to provide specific guidance to customers while maintaining an environment of collaboration and partnership.
  10. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
  11. Proven team player with excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  12. Ability to work independently to complete work with minimal supervision.
  13. Strong problem solving, solution generating, and critical thinking skills to quickly and effectively resolve conflicts.
  14. Demonstrated business acumen. Ability to understand business plans and develop impactful HR solutions in response to those plans.
  15. Attention to detail required. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  16. Strong customer focus with a high degree of professionalism.  Ability to effect collaborative alliances.
  17. Ability to diplomatically handle communications in potentially stressful situations.
  18. Ability to be culturally sensitive and work with diverse populations.
  19. Ability to maintain organizational, personnel and patient confidentiality required.  Knowledge of or ability to learn HIPAA privacy requirements.
  20. Ability to use a keyboard extensively required.
  21. Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and lift intermittently required.
