Senior Supply Chain Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Responsibilities include the management of production planning and detailed scheduling, capacity analysis, customer communications, and reporting. While coordinating the inbound flow of materials and efficient execution of the production plan to meet the needs of the customer. 

JOB DUTIES

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

As Production Planner/Scheduler:

• Utilizes the SAP environment, reports and data for efficient execution of functional responsibilities and objectives. (SAP, BW, Shared Point)
• Enter and manage production schedules, including any required schedule changes in SAP to meet and achieve customer satisfaction and communicate changes to all parties as needed
• Facilitate daily material shortage meetings with the Procurement staff to assure the timely flow of materials to support production  
• Ensure products are received on time and are available to fill production orders to keep supply chain moving and eliminate downtime
• Facilitate the daily Production Meeting to coordinate execution with the Production team
• Attends daily facility Drumbeat meetings and responds to potential impacts
• Manages the weekly capacity analysis for internal and external reviews
• Provides daily/weekly/monthly reports for customers and internal stake holders
• Attend internal and external customer meetings to discuss next several weeks and shortages of scheduled production resulting from any material or capacity constraints
• Assist commercialization team in product development and trials.
• Drive timely part setup, BOM releases, BOM changes to support new product introduction as well as changes to existing business.
• Communicate and help coordinate shipments with T&W department and customers as needed

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES & KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of:

• Familiar with SAP planning, procurement.
• Knowledge of HFS products or food product industry.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP
• Basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel

 Skilled in:

• Understand and comprehend MRP and published schedules.
• Must be able to learn, adapt and comprehend with ease.

Proficiency in:   MS Office Suite and SAP

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the procurement and supply chain fields.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• SAP experience required.
• Customer service background preferred.
