Maintenance Technician Team 1 P2

Summary/Purpose

Coordinate maintenance related activities with technicians and groups outside of maintenance including, but not limited to, Production, Quality, Facilities Maintenance, Engineering, and Safety teams.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

• Coordinate and lead all maintenance activities and communications during the shift
• Accurately communicate out the activities and results of each shift by means of a standardized email shift report.
• Provide Maintenance Engineering Technician level of support for the team.
• Provide mentoring, training, motivation, and coaching to technicians.
• Maintain necessary team records
• Maintain 5s standards within all aspects of the maintenance department area and equipment
• Aid maintenance team in acquiring technical and business skills to complete maintenance skill blocks
• Order and/or stock parts as needed
• Conduct team meetings and assist with setting team goals
• Ensure Escalation Procedure is followed
• Monitor and review the performance of the team in each of its areas of responsibility
• Ability to perform essential job duties of Maintenance Technician
• Schedule and/or coordinate overtime coverage for/with technicians or team as directed by immediate supervisor.
• Work daily overtime, weekends, and holidays when directed by immediate supervisor or, as necessary, to complete essential job duties.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for supervising a department of maintenance technicians and/or apprentices.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical/electronics, tooling/fixturing, and mechanical maintenance
• Strong organizational skills, able to work well under pressure and manage several tasks simultaneously
• Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
• Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 years manufacturing maintenance experience, or Associates Degree in technical field
