SUMMARY

The Production Machine Trainee will be trained on entry-level manufacturing duties and machines. A level of competency needs to be achieved and maintained at the end of the training program.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation for disabilities may be made for one or more the following:

  • Operate calipers and micrometers used in the production process.

 

  • Utilize the shop floor system to provide workflow process and labor allocation to track and log current work assignment.

 

  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards/ policy, by following blueprints and/or work instructions.

 

  • Count and log finished products to determine if product orders are complete. Utilize and understand the SPC system.
  • Perform 1st article inspections on all work orders/ parts.

 

  • Reads blueprints, router packages or job order for product specification such as dimensions, tolerance, number or parts to be checked.

 

  • Adheres to all company health, safety, and environmental polices and procedures.

 

  • All employees are responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.

 

  • All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.

 

  • All employees are required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.

 

  • Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.

 

  • Supports and maintains waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the function and department such as EMS and recycling opportunities to elimination of production waste.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or combination of education and experience

 

  • 0-1 year related experience and/or training

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division); Ability to perform these operations using units and weight measurement, volume and distance.

 

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic mainframe computer systems and familiar with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

 

Certificates, licenses, registrations

Evidence of “US person” is required

Safety and Environmental

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.

The responsibilities of the position include compliance with company and governmental safety, environmental and hazardous materials regulations and procedures. The employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and proper footwear in specified areas.
