Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 11:00pm.
Salary range(dependent on years of experience): $15.00 - $25.50/ per hour.

Job Summary:
The Lead Housekeeper has oversight in the scheduling of housekeeping projects and directing their completion. This position entails traveling to the IRA’s in the community to evaluate and prioritize the cleaning needs of each site. The lead housekeeper will work independently with minimal supervision to ensure all sites are kept in a clean and sanitary condition. This person will be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment as well as collaborating with maintenance and vendors for building needs. The lead housekeeper must have experience operating commercial cleaning equipment and strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals and building finishes.
Essential Job Duties:
• Oversees the scheduling and completion of special housekeeping projects such as floor care, carpet cleaning, emergency clean up, etc.
• Ability to inspect property sites to determine unsafe and unsanitary conditions
• Evaluates and prioritizes cleaning tasks at various sites and develops cleaning schedules to meet the prioritized needs.
• Work independently
• Work with vendors and maintenance staff to lead housekeeping projects
• Collaborate with co-workers for building needs
• Completes monthly PMS Inspections of all OPWDD Sites (e.g. Fire extinguishers, dryer vents, etc.)
• Ability to recognize problems, initiate action and to facilitate solutions.
• Ability to appropriately operate and maintain floor scrubbers, buffers, carpet cleaners and other heavier equipment.
• Orders cleaning supplies and maintains appropriate inventory.
• Creates work orders for the building needs
• Identify various building finishes and develop plan of how to properly clean/maintain
• Assist in new hire interview and orientation process
• Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor

Education:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
6-9 years
Required License/Registration/ Certification: Valid New York State Drivers License
