Water Treatment Maintenance

POSITION PURPOSE

The Maintenance Operator repairs or replaces broken items within the plant that pertain to water usage, including pumps, valves, instrumentation, and other machinery. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation and efficiency of our water treatment systems by conducting preventive maintenance and collaborating with team members to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform daily walk through
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance
• Enter work orders accurately and timely
• Trouble shoot and correct mechanical and electrical breakdowns
• Improve process and equipment to minimize breakdowns
• Troubleshoot pump operation
• Assist operations when needed

• Comply with all departmental and company safety policies and programs

QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies and Experience

Required:

• Minimum 2 years of heavy industrial experience
• Familiar with installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting electrical equipment
• Knowledge of pump maintenance and repair
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform mechanical and electrical repairs
• Good computer skills
• Strong organizational skills

Preferred:

• Industrial water experience
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain industrial drives
• Experience rebuilding pumps
• Industrial electrical experience
• Welding and cutting skills

Education

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

• AS or BS in electrical or mechanical engineering or a closely-related technical field
